Location Promotion Winterthur Region celebrated its anniversary on 30th September 2014 with many famous faces and an attractive program: the comedian Fabian Unteregger makes suggestions for a prosperous future of Winterthur, while a discussion leads to a short travel in time back to the early days of city marketing, including also visions for the future. The 250 guests were invited to a delightful buffet with regional specialties, while listening to the welcome addresses of the Mayor of Winterthur and the Managing Director of The Location Promotion Location Winterthur. The theme of the 20th anniversary was „Let’s take off!“ The former U18 Swiss climbing champion Tanja Lanz demonstrated how this is done on the steep rock slope of the climbing center... It was great! A big thank you to all who celebrated the 20 years with us!

Sport, play and fun at the members event! Being on your feet, enjoying nature and a small test on the organization of Location Promotion was all part of the activities on the circular walking route in Wülflingen on 20th August, to which Location Promotion Winterthur Region invited its members. Anna Ostini –who is also in charge of the International Congress on Vocational and Professional Education and Training – tested the guests in high spirits with tricky questions, before the more casual part with wine and barbeque, which was joined also by the Mayor of Winterthur.
