Hanami festival
In the anniversary year 2014, on 3 May, all residents of Winterthur are invited to take part in a ‘hanami’ – a cherry blossom festival – in the city’s Eulach park (northern section). Various institutions and associations with connections to Japan will present themselves at the spring festival and provide visitors with glimpses and tastes of Japanese culture.

Cherry tree sponsorship
Why not take on the sponsorship of a cherry tree and have your name mentioned on a permanent installation in the park? One quarter of the sponsorship amount is donated to the Momo-Kaki Orphans Fund in Japan, a project for the benefit of over 1,500 children who lost their parents in connection with the natural disaster in the Tohoku region.
