Pfungen, an up-and-coming neighboring municipality of Winterthur, is nestled between the high plateau of Brütten and the Irchel. The village is surrounded by an intact landscape with meadows, forests and nature reserves close to rivers. The old, listed village center is situated at the foot of the Multberg and forms a charming idyll, the center of which is occupied by the reformed church. Despite being located in a natural environment, it is well connected to the pulsating commercial world due to its excellent train and bus connections and its proximity to the A1/A4 expressways and the commercial centers of Winterthur and Zurich, as well as the gateway to the rest of the world in the form of Zurich International Airport. Pfungen has developed from an industrial village into a residential municipality with all the important infrastructure.
